Street Dance

The mobile activities unit also holds Street Dance sessions and workshops. The sessions include learning each different style of street dance for example New Style Hip-Hop, Popping, Locking, Beginners's Break-Dance combined with learning set choreographed routines and creating your own choreography. These sessions give you the chance to have fun and learn new moves to all the latest chart music whilst improving flexibility, co-ordination, strength and your general dance skills. These sessions are for all ages and all abilities beginners or advance. All sessions are progressive with clear outcomes and pathways highlighted in a scheme of work.

All staff used to deliver the workshops are highly trained and experienced in professional level Street Dance.

We hold a Street Dance Class which is run on Thursday evenings at Nottingham Road Methoidist Church in Ilkeston. There are currently two sessions for different ages;

- Session 1 - 5.30pm-6.15pm for ages 5-11yrs

- Session 2 - 6.30pm-7.45pm for ages 11+ yrs

Both sessions cost £2.50 per head.
